Penjwen City of Learning Program signs a memorandum of understanding with Sulaimani University.

Penjwen City of Learning Program signed a memorandum of understanding with Sulaimani University in order to carry out joint humanitarian, educational, environmental and health work. On November 28, 2024, the memorandum was signed between (Habib Mahmoud Salih) founder and member of the Senior Board of Penjwen City of Learning Program and (Prof. Zana Mahmoud) Vice Rector of Sulaimani University for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education. During the ceremony, Prof. Zana Mahmoud pointed out the importance of the project and said: “We hope that this memorandum will not remain only on paper and will lead to joint work and good work”. In this regard, (Haji Habib Mahmoud Salih) member of the high board of the program of Penjwen City of Learning in an interview with "University Site" said: "This coordination with Sulaimani University is a pleasure for us. “This project is a humanitarian work and we want to serve people. We are sure that Sulaimani University will pay attention to anything that serves the citizens and this country, so we are happy to sign this memorandum of understanding,” he said. It is worth mentioning that the Penjwen City of Learning program started in 2018 with the planting of trees, then educational and health programs were added and administrative measures were taken and implemented. So far, 41,000 trees have been planted in Penjwen township, and 6,700 people have benefited from educational, health, environmental, children's and other fields.
