Penjwen November 8, 2025 In a new step towards sustainable education and environmental protection, the City of Penjwen for Learning Program launched an expanded partnership with the Kurdish-American Community Education Foundation (KAFS), as part of a special initiative aimed at enhancing agricultural education and environmental literacy from home to school, fully aligned with the vision of the City of Penjwen for Learning. This initiative emphasizes the importance of environmental education and instilling a sense of responsibility towards nature in future generations, implementing it in a scientific and structured approach that respects sustainability and life preservation, and serves as a bridge connecting learning to students daily experiences and community engagement, in line with the objectives of the City of Penjwen for Learning. The City of Penjwen for Learning Program, with its full support, provides an ideal platform for this voluntary initiative to implement best practices in environmental education, making it a living example of the City of Penjwen for Learnings goals in practical and community-based learning. At the conclusion of the official meeting, both parties confirmed that the environmental education project, through cooperation and partnership, will move from planning to actual implementation, becoming a practical model that reflects the philosophy of the City of Penjwen for Learning in integrating learning with real-world community life.

With the participation of the District Governor of Penjwen, the Director of Penjwen Education, and a number of supervisors, officials, and volunteers of the Penjwen Learning City Program, an official delegation from the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was warmly received. The delegation was composed of Dr. Ali Kamel, representing the Department of Cultural Relations, Dr. Adnan Mohammed, and Dr. Zainab Salam. During a consultative meeting held with the programs team and volunteers, key activities and initiatives implemented within the programs framework were discussed, highlighting their significant role in strengthening education and promoting community development in Penjwen District. At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the continuous efforts made by the programs leadership, commending the notable achievements that have contributed to the advancement of education and human development in the district. The ministrys delegation also emphasized the importance of expanding and generalizing the Penjwen Learning City model to other regions across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, as an inspiring and successful example of lifelong learning and local capacity building. The visit concluded with an official meeting at the Penjwen District Governorate, reaffirming the shared commitment to enhance cooperation and sustain educational and developmental progress in the region. The Penjwen Learning City Program, in collaboration with the Migration Consultancy Center (Koch) of Sulaymaniyah Governorate, organized a specialized workshop offered free of charge, focusing on the preparation of professional curricula vitae (CVs) and providing guidance to job seekers. This initiative aimed to mitigate irregular migration and support citizens in identifying and securing employment opportunities.The workshop was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Penjwen Public Library. It was facilitated by trainers Muhammad Bahjat Saeed and Naz Zirak Adel and lasted for two to three hours.The program encompassed comprehensive training on the formulation of professional CVs, effective job search techniques, and an overview of employment opportunities both domestically and internationally. Additionally, participants were equipped with negotiation skills and strategies for follow-up in the job-seeking process. link

An important and useful seminar for teachers of Garmki primary school was conducted by Mr. (Omid Omar Ismail) who is a member of the high board of Penjwen City of Learning program. Penjwen City of Learning Program and Malaka Organization for Environmental Protection, in a joint meeting emphasized the importance of closer relationship and more cooperation to serve the environment. In this meeting, the managers of both sides discussed several joint environmental projects, in order to: Strengthening cooperation between two institutions Develop joint activities to protect the environment Evaluate future collaboration opportunities Participants came to an agreement to draw up a joint plan for future activities

In order to discuss how to build teams and work in teams, separate areas, discuss working with them and exchange ideas, the program board held a comprehensive meeting with the various volunteer teams today, which will start working on it in the near future.

Participants received useful information on this important topic. The seminar analyzed the concepts of procrastination and its implications in education and business. Emotional intelligence and its effects on management. While most managers and employees focus on technical skills, two prominent figures in psychology and management, Profs. Mohammadi Khani and Prof. Abdulfattah Hawrami, in a special seminar unveiled the secret of a greater success - emotional intelligence. Within the framework of its ongoing activities, Penjwen City of Learning Project organized two seminars for Prof. Abdulfattah Hama Rahim Hawrami 1- Seminar 1 (Skills of Medical Students in the 21st Century: Future Employment Opportunities). 2- Second Seminar (Emotional Intelligence and Secrets of Success in Health Sector)

An important seminar in the field of management entitled "The Secret of Success in Management" was successfully held, which was presented on 21-8-2024 by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulfattah Hawrami. In this scientific seminar, the presenter highlighted the importance of the emotional aspect in the field of administration and management and how this aspect affects the work of employees. Dr. Hawrami said that emotional intelligence and understanding the feelings of others leads to increased productivity and success in the workplace. The participants benefited from the seminar and asked questions and comments on how to develop their skills in dealing with colleagues and solving administrative problems. It is to be noted that such seminars play an important role in skill development of employees and managers and help to create a healthy and productive work environment in the institutions.
