Joint Meeting to Organize a Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Campaign in Penjwen
Today, the Penjwen Learning City Programme – Health Department held a meeting with the Kurdistan Women’s Union – Penjwen Branch to strengthen coordination and enhance joint efforts. During the meeting, both parties agreed to organize a comprehensive breast cancer awareness and early detection campaign for women in the area.
The campaign aims to raise women’s health awareness. Its objectives go beyond conducting medical examinations; it also seeks to promote a culture of breast self-examination, encourage greater attention to general health, and emphasize the importance of regular medical check-ups for early detection.
As part of the campaign, screening examinations will be provided free of charge, alongside scientific guidance and essential information for participants about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and ways to reduce the risk.
Both parties call on all women in the area to participate actively in this important campaign and take this valuable step towards protecting their own health and the well-being of their families.
