On 4-12-2024, members of the Executive Board of Penjwen Learning City Program, led by Mr. Dr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaimani and his accompanying delegation met with Mr. Isabel Kembeff, Director of UNESCO Institute of Learning Cities Fortunately, Mrs. Isabel Kembeff, Director of the Institute of Learning Cities at UNESCO, expressed her pleasure for this step and promised to cooperate and coordinate with the Penjwen Learning City Programme. I hope that these meetings and understandings will soon lead to Penjwen as the first city in Kurdistan and Iraq to become a world learning city in UNESCO.
